Daikin pipped its competitors at the post in the 2011 Canstar Blue air conditioner survey, coming in first in a range of categories, including energy efficiency and overall satisfaction.
Daikin beat other major air-conditioning brands and scored top marks in the categories of overall satisfaction, after-sales service, reliability, ease of use, functionality, noise, and energy efficiency.

According to the survey, participants said their greatest gripes with other air-conditioning units were: units installed incorrectly and in the wrong locations; high running costs and energy usage; remote controls and instructions hard to understand and use; excessive noise made by the unit; and unattractive appearance.
